Position Summary
The Senior Proposal Writer develops accurate, competitive proposals by collaborating with Business Development, Operations, and internal teams, managing pricing inputs, ensuring timely and compliant submissions. The role also supports team training, oversees proposal processes and documentation, and contributes to performance reporting and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with Business Development and Operations to evaluate protocol design and identify the key information required to develop accurate and competitive proposals for both new and existing customer opportunities.
- Participate in technical review meetings with prospective customers to gather the information required to develop complete proposals and support the review and refinement of proposals throughout the progression of each opportunity.
- Liaise with internal teams and/or use tools provided to obtain prices for third-party pass-through services on our price list (e.g. Logistics team for courier and depot pricing, Purchasing for component pricing, PM for estimates of PM hours/project).
- Generate detailed and accurate proposals in the timeframe requested by the client, or within 3 days. Check all proposals for accuracy prior to sending to the Business Development opportunity owner for final review and delivery to the customer. The Senior Proposal Writer will be the Subject Matter Expert (SME) on our proposal-related aspects of our ERP system. This will require attendance at all training sessions, and providing support for any testing/validation work required to ensure the system works as intended. The SME will be the go-to person for the wider team with any questions or problems related to the system and will escalate these to the IT team if unable to resolve themselves. The SME will also be responsible for training any new Business Development hires in correct use of the system.
- Work with the Sales and Marketing Leadership to develop onboarding and training plans for all new hires into the Proposals team.
- Ensure any requests for discounting from list price are approved by the Sales and Marketing team
- Report on team performance based on KPIs
- Responsible for overall management of the Business Development Team folder in Sharepoint.

Qualifications:
- University degree in a related field
- have a good understanding of the clinical trial supply process and terminology
- have least 2 years of CTS proposals experience
- Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Computer literacy, proficient in MS Office suites and CRM systems
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Ability to work well in a cross-functional team spread across global locations to obtain information required to generate a proposal/quotation
