Senior QA Engineer

Job Title: QA Engineer (Scrum) – Liabify

Liabify is a UAE-based fintech platform offering Salary Advance Loans to individuals scaling throughout GCC soon. We’re looking for an independent QA Engineer who can design, implement, and maintain automated testing pipelines and use AI-assisted development tools to enhance test coverage, reliability, and speed.

You’ll own the end-to-end quality process from requirement validation and pre-development test planning to post-release performance monitoring.

This is a hands-on technical role, not a coordination-heavy one.

Core Responsibilities

Automation & Quality Engineering

· Build and maintain end-to-end automation frameworks for Web, API, and backend validation using tools such as Cypress, Playwright, Postman/Newman, or REST Assured.

· Design and execute data-driven and parameterized test suites to validate edge cases and system reliability under various configurations.

· Implement API-level contract testing and integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins) for continuous validation.

· Define and maintain Key Quality Indicators (KQIs) for each major feature, including:

· API response times and failure rates

· UI functional stability across builds

· Regression rate and defect density

· Deployment verification metrics

· Develop automated smoke and sanity tests for production change validation to ensure zero-regression after deployment.

· Use monitoring dashboards (e.g., Grafana, Kibana, Datadog) to correlate QA metrics with system performance indicators.

AI-Assisted Quality Acceleration

· Leverage modern AI/ML tools to improve QA productivity and predictive quality control:

· Use AI coding assistants (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini , GitHub Copilot, Testim, etc.) to:

Generate and refactor test scripts for repetitive or low-level test cases.

Autogenerate documentation from test annotations, API specs (OpenAPI/Swagger), and code comments.

Analyze logs, test reports, and system metrics to identify root causes or high-risk modules.

Predict regression-prone areas by correlating historical defect data with recent code changes.

Generate synthetic test data and mock payloads for load, integration, or API testing.

· Integrate AI-assisted QA workflows into the CI/CD pipeline to automatically:

Propose missing test cases based on feature diffs.

Summarize regression results and performance deltas in PR comments.

Flag unusual API or UI response behavior using anomaly detection.

Process & Agile Integration

· Collaborate with developers and product managers to validate and refine requirements before development — ensuring testability and measurable acceptance criteria.

· Maintain AI-supported QA documentation, including test matrices, use cases, and automated test coverage reports.

· Support sprint planning by providing quantitative insights into risk areas, test progress, and release readiness.

Technical Requirements

· 4 - 5+ years of experience in test automation and QA engineering.

· Strong hands-on skills with OpenAPI, Cyprus.

· Deep understanding of API testing, mocking, and contract validation.

· Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.

· Familiarity with Python, JavaScript/TypeScript or .NET for writing automation frameworks.

· Knowledge of AI-powered productivity tools (e.g., ChatGPT API, Copilot, Testim, or similar).

· Experience with logging/monitoring tools (Grafana, or Kibana, New Relic, or Datadog).

· **Excellent understanding of Agile delivery, version control (Git), and documentation workflows (Confluence, Markdown, OpenAPI).

Nice to Have

· Familiarity with performance/load testing (k6, JMeter).

· Exposure to AI-based testing frameworks or anomaly detection systems.

· Experience creating QA dashboards or automated quality reports.
