Senior QA Engineer - Enterprise Application

Job Summary:
This role is central to ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of critical enterprise platforms, with primary responsibility for the Custom Mobile Application and Oracle Fusion ERP program. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in test automation, mobile testing, performance engineering, and manual quality assurance, and is comfortable operating as a high-performing individual contributor within an agile delivery environment.

Key Responsibilities:
Test Strategy & Planning

• Develop and own comprehensive test strategies, test plans, and test cases for enterprise applications including the Custom Mobile App and Oracle Fusion program.
• Analyze business and functional requirements to identify testable scenarios, edge cases, and risk areas.
• Define acceptance criteria in collaboration with business analysts, product owners, and development teams.

Test Automation

• Design, build, and maintain automated test suites using mabl for web and enterprise application testing.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous quality feedback.
• Monitor and maintain test scripts to keep pace with evolving application features and releases.

Mobile Application Testing

• Execute functional, regression, and exploratory testing for the Custom Mobile App across iOS and Android platforms.
• Validate mobile UI/UX, push notifications, offline functionality, and API integrations.
• Coordinate device matrix coverage and conduct compatibility testing across targeted OS versions and device types.

Performance & Load Testing

• Design and execute performance, load, stress, and endurance tests for enterprise applications.
• Identify performance bottlenecks, document findings, and work with development teams to drive resolution.
• Establish and track performance baselines and KPIs aligned with SLA requirements.

Manual & Exploratory Testing

• Perform structured manual and exploratory testing to identify defects not covered by automated checks
• Execute end-to-end business process testing for Oracle Fusion modules (e.g., Finance, HR, Procurement, Supply Chain).
• Validate integrations between Fusion and third-party or internal enterprise systems.

Defect Management & Reporting

• Log, triage, and track defects with clear reproduction steps, severity classification, and supporting evidence.
• Produce clear QA status reports, test summary reports, and quality metrics dashboards for project stakeholders.
• Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives as the QA representative.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• 5–8 years of hands-on QA experience, with a significant portion focused on enterprise application testing.
• Demonstrated experience testing ERP platforms (Oracle Fusion / Oracle Cloud preferred) or comparable enterprise systems (SAP, PeopleSoft).
• Proven track record delivering QA on mobile application projects (iOS and/or Android).

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency with mabl for intelligent test automation.
• Strong understanding of RESTful API testing and integration validation.
• Experience with performance testing concepts and tooling (e.g., JMeter, Gatling, or equivalent).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or similar).
• Solid understanding of SQL for data validation and backend testing.

Methodology & Tools:

• Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery frameworks.
• Proficiency with defect tracking and test management tools (Jira, Zephyr, qTest, or equivalent).
• Strong knowledge of SDLC and STLC processes.

Soft Skills and Competencies:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to convey technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong analytical mindset with keen attention to detail.
• Self-driven and capable of working independently with minimal supervision in a contractor capacity.
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams and prioritize effectively under deadline pressure.

Nice to Have:

• ISTQB certification (Foundation or Advanced level).
• Hands-on experience with Oracle Fusion test environments and data seeding.
• Exposure to security or accessibility testing.
• Experience in aviation, airports, or regulated industry environments.
