Senior QA Engineering Manager

The Real World Data (RWD) Engineering team is seeking a strategic and technically strong Senior QA Engineering Manager to lead quality initiatives across our clinical data platforms. In this key leadership role, you will drive QA strategy, lead a high-performing team, and ensure the delivery of robust, scalable, and compliant data validation and testing processes across ConcertAI’s RWD portfolio. Your work will directly impact the reliability and quality of critical healthcare data solutions.
Responsibilities

• Lead the QA strategy and roadmap, driving the design and execution of scalable, efficient testing methodologies across all software layers (UI, API, database, performance, security, and usability).
• Oversee defect lifecycle management, establish best practices for defect tracking and resolution, and coordinate closely with engineering leads to ensure timely bug fixes.
• Partner with Product and Engineering to provide strategic input during design and planning phases, ensuring functional and technical requirements meet business goals and quality standards.
• Build and manage robust test environments mirroring production settings; ensure comprehensive coverage across platforms and systems for successful deployments.
• Drive implementation of automated testing frameworks and CI/CD pipeline integrations to increase test coverage and efficiency.
• Lead root cause analyses using logs, code, and configuration, guiding teams to resolution and systemic quality improvements.
• Mentor and develop QA team members, promoting continuous learning, ownership, and a culture of quality across the organization.
• Define and monitor QA KPIs and metrics, leveraging data to inform leadership, support continuous improvement, and refine QA processes.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate UAT and post-release validation activities.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 8+ years of QA experience with at least 3+ years in a leadership or management role overseeing QA teams.
• Proven experience managing QA in Agile environments with strong understanding of test management tools and strategies.
• Deep expertise in test automation (e.g., Selenium, MABL) and test-driven development.
• Strong experience with cloud technologies (preferably AWS) and data-intensive applications.
• Solid understanding of software architecture, modern QA practices, and data transformation pipelines.
• Familiarity with regulatory and security standards (e.g., HIPAA, pharma data standardization).
• Strong decision-making, analytical, and communication skills; able to influence cross-functional teams and executives.
• Experience establishing and managing Traceability Matrices and using tools like Jira and Confluence for quality tracking.
