About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled
Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) Engineer
with a strong focus on
site supervision
to join our multidisciplinary team at a leading engineering consultancy firm. This role is dedicated to a
high-profile hospital construction project
, where you will be responsible for ensuring all on-site activities meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.
As the QA/QC Engineer on-site, you will oversee day-to-day construction operations, conduct regular inspections, verify contractor compliance with project specifications, and ensure that all works are executed in line with applicable healthcare construction codes and best practices. You will also manage quality documentation, audit site processes, and coordinate closely with project managers, consultants, and contractors to address quality issues in real-time.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, implement, and maintain project-specific
Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC)
plans and procedures in alignment with client and regulatory requirements.

Review project specifications, design drawings, and technical documents to ensure adherence to applicable codes, standards, and quality benchmarks.

Conduct regular
site inspections
, audits, and material testing to verify compliance with approved drawings and specifications.

Monitor construction and engineering activities to identify and resolve quality-related issues in a proactive and timely manner.

Collaborate with contractors, consultants, and internal teams to promote a culture of quality and ensure that quality objectives are met at every stage of the project.

Prepare and maintain comprehensive QA/QC documentation including inspection reports, non-conformance reports (NCRs), corrective actions, and quality logs.

Facilitate quality audits and ensure follow-up on all audit findings and recommendations.

Evaluate and approve materials, suppliers, and subcontractors based on quality performance and compliance history.

Support root cause analysis and the implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to eliminate recurring quality issues.

Ensure that all work is executed in accordance with health, safety, and environmental standards.

Provide training and guidance to project teams on quality standards, procedures, and continuous improvement practices.

Participate in project meetings and provide regular updates to senior management on QA/QC status, risks, and performance metrics.
Qualifications:

Minimum of
10 years of experience
in Quality Assurance and Quality Control within the engineering or construction industry.

Strong knowledge of
quality standards and regulations
such as ISO 9001, ASTM, ACI, BS, and other relevant international codes.

Proven experience in
establishing, auditing, and maintaining quality systems
in engineering and construction environments.

Familiarity with
engineering consultancy workflows
, including design, procurement, and site supervision phases.

Proficient in QA/QC tools and reporting software; knowledge of project management platforms is an asset.

Bachelor’s degree in
Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Quality Management
, or a related field.

Professional certifications such as
ISO 9001 Lead Auditor, ASQ CQE, or IRCA
accreditation are highly desirable.

Excellent communication, problem-solving, and documentation skills.

Strong attention to detail with the ability to work collaboratively in fast-paced, multidisciplinary project teams.

Experience with
FIDIC contracts and quality documentation in consultancy settings
is an advantage.
