Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor

Job Summary
The Senior Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for overall cost management, contractual administration, and financial control of housing society construction projects. The role requires extensive experience in quantity surveying, cost estimation, and contract management to ensure projects are delivered efficiently, within budget, and in compliance with contractual requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and evaluate cost estimates and project budgets.
- Conduct cost planning, value engineering, and cost optimization throughout the project lifecycle.
- Perform site visits and inspections to ensure work quality and compliance with approved drawings and specifications.
- Prepare, check, and validate Bar Bending Schedules (BBS) to ensure accurate reinforcement quantities.
- Prepare, review, and manage Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and detailed cost reports.
- Monitor project expenditures and ensure alignment with approved budgets.
- Review and certify contractor progress bills and invoices.
- Manage contracts, including review of terms & conditions, variations, claims, and final accounts.
- Conduct risk assessments and cost-benefit analyses to minimize financial risks.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, contractors, suppliers, and consultants for cost-effective execution.
- Provide input on procurement strategies and assist in dispute resolution when required.
- Mentor, supervise, and guide junior quantity surveyors.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Head of Department (H.O.D).
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Professional certification (preferred).
- Minimum 10–15 years of experience in quantity surveying, with proven experience in housing society or large-scale construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of cost control, contract administration, and construction laws.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and other relevant industry software.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong leadership, team management, and mentoring abilities.
- Effective communication and stakeholder coordination skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
- Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in residential, commercial, or infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of local market rates and cost benchmarking practices.
- Residents of Mandi Bahauddin will be preferred.
