Job Summary
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Senior QA Analyst works on a team of software developers conducting IT software testing to identify any potential quality issues and to ensure that applications meet the business requirements with highest level of QA standards. This role is responsible for conducting quality testing methodologies including: Functional, Smoke, Regression, Functional, Performance, Mobile, Negative, and Load & Performance testing.
Job Duties

Reviews requirements and works with Business Analysts and Technical team to identify testable requirements

Develops and maintains testing-related documentation, including Test Plans, Test Cases, Scripts, Test reports, and Bug reports

Performs testing throughout the product life cycle including functional, integration, system, regression, smoke, load, and mobile testing
-
Works closely with Developers, Business Analysts and QA Analysts to escalate potential quality issues

Logs enhancement requests and bugs in an issue tracker with detailed steps and screenshots to recreate the issue
-
Maintains association between defects, test cases, requirements, test case management software and traceability matrices

Education

High School Diploma or GED, required
-
Bachelor’s degree, preferred
Experience
-
Four (4) or more years of experience as a Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst within IT solutions or equivalent role, required

Experience with writing test plans and executing automated testing to include functional, smoke, regression, load, negative and mobile strategies, required
-
Experience with test automation frameworks and tools, such as Selenium, JUnit, or TestNG, preferred
-
Experience with programming languages like Java, C#, or Python to write automated tests or perform code reviews, preferred
-
Experience with testing web technologies, APIs, and mobile application testing, preferred
License/Certification
Software
One (1) or more of the following, preferred:

Azure DevOps, JIRA

HP Quality Center or other equivalent

SQL / T-SQL

Selenium
Language
Other Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies, such as Agile or Waterfall

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Excels at operating in a fast-paced technical environment

Self-driven with the ability to work independently as well as operate efficiently in a collaborative environment

Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail

Ability to work closely with cross functional teams in the organization

Ability to solve problems, identify solutions, and appropriately escalate issues

Effective communication and collaboration skills and ability to clearly articulate testing requirements, issues, and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders

Meticulous attention to detail and a strong focus on ensuring the highest quality standards are maintained throughout the testing process

Individual salaries that are offered to a candidate are determined after consideration of numerous factors including but not limited to the candidate’s qualifications, experience, skills, and geography.
National Range: $95,000 - $100,000
Maryland Range: $95,000 - $100,000
NYC/Long Island/Westchester Range: $95,000 - $100,000
