Senior Quantity Surveyor

Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor – Civil / MEP / Infrastructure

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor with strong expertise in civil, MEP, and infrastructure projects to manage cost planning, contract administration, and financial control. The role involves overseeing budgets, procurement, variations, and final accounts to ensure successful project delivery within cost and contractual requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates, BOQs, and project budgets for civil, MEP, and infrastructure works
• Manage project cost control from pre-contract to post-contract stages
• Prepare tender documents, evaluate bids, and recommend contract awards
• Administer contracts, variations, claims, and change orders
• Prepare interim valuations, payment certifications, and final accounts
• Monitor project cash flow, cost reports, and financial forecasts
• Conduct value engineering and cost optimization exercises
• Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors, and suppliers
• Ensure compliance with contract conditions (FIDIC or similar)
• Lead and mentor junior quantity surveyors

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field
• Minimum 8–10 years of relevant experience in civil, MEP, or infrastructure projects
• Strong knowledge of civil works, MEP systems, and infrastructure components
• Extensive experience with contract administration and claims management
• Proficiency in QS software, MS Excel, and cost management tools
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional membership (MRICS, CIOB, or equivalent)
• Experience with large-scale infrastructure projects (roads, bridges, utilities, airports, or rail)
• Familiarity with local authority and regulatory requirements
• Proven leadership and team management abilities
