Senior Quantity Surveyor
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate project scope and identify cost impacts for all variations and design changes.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates, BOQs, and rate analysis for civil and infrastructure works.
- Handle variation claims including preparation, submission, negotiation, and follow-up for approvals.
- Ensure all submissions are supported with proper technical and commercial substantiation.
- Coordinate with engineering, planning, and site teams to capture actual progress and cost implications.
- Monitor project cost vs budget and highlight potential risks or overruns.
- Review subcontractor claims, certify payments, and manage back-to-back commercial alignment.
- Liaise with consultant/client (PIL/Parsons) to secure timely approvals and resolve commercial issues.
Required Experience & Skills:
- Minimum 8–12 years’ experience in quantity surveying for large-scale infrastructure/civil projects.
- Strong experience in variation evaluation, claims preparation, and commercial negotiations.
- Proven ability to get cost approvals from consultants/clients with proper documentation.
- Excellent knowledge of rate build-up, cost benchmarking, and project cash flow.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
Project-Specific Advantage (Highly Preferred):
- Experience in Qatar projects / Ashghal standards / Parsons coordination.
- Background in utilities, roads, drainage, or similar infrastructure works.
