We are recruiting a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our exceptional projects team. This role offers a challenging opportunity for a professional with supervisory experience in projects, someone personable and capable of establishing credibility quickly. Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Knowledge of pre and post contract administration for various contract types (e.g., remeasure and lump sum), and FIDIC.
- Prepare and review Bills of Quantities, maintain budgets, estimates, cash flow forecasts, and cost reports.
- Prepare Letters of Award, contracts for new projects in coordination with the project team, consultants, and contractors.
- Prepare variation orders in coordination with the project team, consultants, and contractors.
- Verify and certify consultants' and contractors' interim applications for payment, prepare monthly reports, and issue payment certificates.
- Ensure project deliverables and close out documents are received during project completion.
- Prepare the project hand over certificate, release retention, and manage documents during DLC.
- Ensure delivery of all documentation prior to certification of the consultant's payment certificate.
- Assist in the close out procedure and prepare the consultants' and contractor's final account.
- Ensure completeness and validity of contractual requirements.
- Review, negotiate, and prepare claim settlements.
- Perform other duties associated with this position as appropriate.
- Participate in site visits and prepare reports as directed by the project manager.
- Review PS and PC items and finalize them.
- Study the tender analysis report (technical & commercial) provided by the consultant after opening the contractor's price offers and recommend the most suitable contractor for the job.
- Act as a team player, coordinating with consultants and contractors.
- Review and approve/disapprove the project's interim payments, variations, EOTs, and claims after a proper and detailed study.
- Review and approve stage wise interim payments for design stages to consultants upon receiving deliverables.
- Support contract execution, recording the commencement date, TOC, and contract administration.
- Review submission of contractual claims, verify the validity of documents provided, and prepare responses to submitted claims.
- Initiate, draft, and prepare contractual letters to contractors, PMC, and/or other parties depending on the subject and requirements.
- Estimate costs for new build, fit out work, renovation, and refurbishment projects.
- Understand contractual terms & conditions, processes, scope of work, compensation schedule, and contract administration requirements.
- Possess general management skills such as integrity, sound judgement, drive for results, and focus.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in quantity surveying or civil engineering.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in construction, villas, and buildings.
- MRICS is an advantage.
- Experience in cost management, contract administration, and tendering-particularly in consultant, construction, or real estate contexts.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, negotiation skills, and proficiency in cost estimating software and tools.
