Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly experienced
Senior Quantity Surveyor – Mechanical
to lead cost management and commercial control for mechanical engineering projects. The role requires overseeing cost estimation, measurement, contract administration, and collaboration with project teams to ensure efficient financial management and successful project execution.
Key Responsibilities:

Review detailed cost estimates, bills of quantities (BOQs), and tender documents for mechanical works.

Conduct quantity take-offs and measurement for mechanical installations including HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, escalators, elevators , pumps and other related systems.

Review and evaluate contractor’s bills, variations, claims, and payment applications.

Monitor project costs, forecasts, and budgets related to mechanical works.

Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to resolve commercial and contractual issues.

Review and approve interim payment certificates and final accounts.

Maintain accurate records of cost data, measurement sheets, and commercial documentation.

Provide guidance and mentorship to junior quantity surveyors and site engineers.

Attend site meetings and coordinate with the mechanical engineering and procurement teams.
Qualifications & Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.

7+ years
experience in quantity surveying within mechanical engineering projects.

Strong understanding of mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing, fire fighting, etc.) and construction contracts.

Proficiency with quantity surveying and cost control software (e.g., CostX, Bluebeam).

Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
