- To ensure that the rooms and equipment’s are kept clean.
- Evaluation of request, verification of patient and preparation for performing the assigned task
- To make sure that the consent form is duly filled up.
- To ensure that the change room has adequate supply of linen.
- To explain the procedure to the patient before starting the procedure.
- To ensure that no metals are present in the patient’s body before entering the X ray/CT/MRI room.
- To perform the X-Ray / CT scan / MRI Scan as per the instruction given by the doctor / radiologist.
- To carry out contrast procedure according to the instruction given by the Radiologist/Consultant.

- To ensure that the images obtained are seen by the Radiologist prior to completion of examination.
- Effective handling of operating picture archiving and communications system.
- Applying correct parameters to obtain the desired image quality.
- Effectively educate patients regarding breath hold instructions, ensure proper shielding of vital organs and usage of ear plugs in MRI.
- To check the quality of images before the patient leaves the
scan room.
· Maintain proper documentation like register, consent etc (shift-wise).
- To check the stock of contrast media and films regularly.
· To check the liquid helium level / Room temperature on a daily
basis.
· To ensure that the equipment’s are in proper working conditions, and in case of any problem, to inform the HOD /Biomedical Engineer.
· To maintain the breakdown logbook / incident book.
- To ensure that the patient’s films and reports are dispatched at the proper time.
- To participate in departmental training and educational programmes.
- To assist the other divisions during overlap period.
- To carry out bedside x ray on need. Responsible for shift the machine with care.
- To participate and contribute to departmental quality initiatives.
- To be aware of department’s performance and objectives.
- To carry out data collection / support in data collection.
- Strictly following radiation safety and MR safety protocols.
- To adhere to the safety norms of hospital and follow both patient safety and staff safety rules.
- To perform any job / task as and when assigned by the superior.
