senior Rebar Detailer/coordinator

Position Overview:

As a Rebar Detailer, you will play a crucial role in the construction and engineering industry by creating detailed plans and drawings for reinforced concrete structures. Your responsibilities will include interpreting architectural and engineering designs, producing accurate rebar placement drawings, and collaborating with project teams to ensure the successful implementation of rebar in construction projects. Your work will contribute to the structural integrity and safety of various construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Interpretation of Design Plans:

- Review architectural and engineering drawings to understand project requirements and specifications.

- Identify rebar placement needs based on project designs and structural requirements.

2. Rebar Detailing:

- Create detailed rebar drawings, plans, and schedules using specialized software, such as AutoCAD and RebarCAD.

- Ensure accurate rebar placement, sizing, and spacing according to project specifications and building codes.

- Calculate and specify the quantity, length, and size of reinforcement bars.

3. Collaboration:

- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to address design and construction issues.

- Communicate with architects and structural engineers to clarify design aspects and resolve discrepancies.

4. Quality Control:

- Verify the accuracy of rebar details and dimensions to ensure structural integrity and compliance with safety standards.

- Review and modify drawings as necessary based on feedback and site conditions.

5. Documentation:

- Maintain a comprehensive record of all rebar detailing documentation for future reference and project audits.

6. Compliance:

- Stay updated on building codes, industry standards, and regulations related to rebar placement and construction practices.

Qualifications:

- A degree or diploma in civil engineering or a related field is preferred.

- Proficiency in rebar detailing software (e.g., AutoCAD, Rebar CAD).

- Strong knowledge of construction materials, building codes, and industry standards.

- Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in producing drawings.

- Effective communication skills to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

- Problem-solving and analytical skills to address design and construction challenges.

- Time management skills to meet project deadlines.

- Previous experience in rebar detailing/coordinator or related roles is an advantage.

The Rebar Detailer is an essential contributor to the construction process, ensuring that the reinforcement is placed correctly, meeting safety standards, and supporting the overall success of construction projects.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED3,000.00 - AED8,000.00 per month

• Bachelor's (Preferred)

Experience:

• Rebar Detailer: 5 years (Preferred)
• rebar detailing coordinator : 4 years (Preferred)
• structural BIM modeler: 3 years (Preferred)
