Senior Registered Dermatologist

JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for diagnosing and treating diseases and conditions related to the skin, hair, and nails through medical, cosmetic, and procedural dermatology services. Provides high-quality patient care while maintaining the highest standards of patient safety, infection control, and professional ethics. Demonstrates professionalism at all times and complies with departmental policies, national and international standards, and patient safety regulations. Responsible for accurate diagnosis, treatment planning, patient education, and proper documentation of all clinical activities.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

A. Examines, diagnoses, and treats various dermatological conditions affecting the skin, hair, and nails.

B. Performs medical and cosmetic dermatological procedures within the scope of practice.

C. Develops individualized treatment plans and explains procedures and expected outcomes to patients.

D. Prescribes medications, topical treatments, and therapies as required.

E. Performs dermatological procedures including biopsies, minor surgical procedures, and aesthetic treatments when applicable.

F. Maintains complete and accurate patient medical records and treatment documentation.

G. Ensures strict compliance with infection control policies and patient safety protocols.

H. Interprets laboratory results and diagnostic tests related to dermatological conditions.

I. Educates patients regarding skincare, treatment plans, preventive care, and post-procedure instructions.

J. Collaborates effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.

K. Maintains confidentiality of patient information in accordance with medical ethics and organizational policies.

L. Participates in departmental quality improvement and TQM programs.

M. Responds appropriately to medical emergencies within the department.

N. Keeps current with advancements in dermatology practices, procedures, and technologies.

O. Participates in continuing medical education and mandatory annual training programs.

P. Complies with national and international healthcare standards and regulations.

Q. Maintains cleanliness and safety of the treatment environment and medical equipment.

R. Performs other duties within the scope of knowledge, skills, and experience as assigned by the immediate supervisor.

EDUCATIONAL LICENSURE:

A. Medical Degree from an accredited institution.

B. Board Certification or equivalent specialization in Dermatology.

C. Valid SCFHS License and professional classification to practice in KSA.

D. Valid registration certificate issued by relevant accreditation authorities.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:

A. Minimum of five years experience in dermatology practice after specialization.

B. Experience in medical and cosmetic dermatology is preferred.

C. Previous KSA healthcare experience is an advantage.

D. Experience must be current and within six (6) months of application.

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE:

A. Strong clinical and diagnostic dermatology skills.

B. Knowledge of cosmetic dermatology procedures and treatments is preferred.

C. Excellent communication and patient counseling skills.

D. Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary and multicultural environment.

E. Good English language skills required; Arabic language skills are an advantage.

F. Computer literacy and familiarity with electronic medical records systems are essential.

G. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.

PHYSICAL EFFORT REQUIRED:

Must be in good physical condition and fit to perform all related duties.

HOURS/SHIFT OR WORK:

Staff must be available to work assigned shifts in the department. Specific job assignments may require day, evening, weekend, or holiday hours.
