Senior Research Consultant - Major Australian Bank - Sydney - $AUD 80-90,000 + SUPER - (posted Sep )

Job Spec: Do you want to work for the leading provider of data and insights to the financial services industry? Trusted by Australia's leading banks and financial institutions to deliver strategic advice to catalyse product innovation, enhance customer experience and grow market share.

Client lead for a big bank - We are looking for a confident client lead who can front the relationship with a key priority client. You will chair weekly meetings to maintain a tight relationship and gain deep understanding of their strategic priorities.

Quantitative research - Dig in to syndicated and customised consumer survey data sets to generate insights that meet the strategic priorities.

Report and present - Bring the data to life with strategic reports, presentations and dashboards that illuminate findings and provide direction to complex business questions.

Manage junior Analysts - Build up your people management skills taking responsibility for junior analysts and overseeing the development of their technical research skills.

Build your FS research skills - Build your pedigree as an expert across categories banking, insurance, wealth, credit, and superannuation.

Responsibilities
  • Client lead for a key priority client; chair weekly relationship meetings.
  • Quantitative research on syndicated and customised consumer survey data sets.
  • Strategic reports, presentations and dashboards that illuminate findings.
  • People management of junior analysts and development of their technical research skills.
  • Expertise across categories: banking, insurance, wealth, credit, and superannuation.
Qualifications
  • 3-4+ years' experience in agency or client side market research.
  • Natural confidence dealing with stakeholders and building rapport.
  • Ideally knowledge of Financial Services (not essential if keen to learn).
  • Experience conducting quantitative analysis using Q, SPSS or Excel.
  • Confident presenter able to think critically about data and deliver commercial thinking.
