The Role
Resident Engineer / Project Manager Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia About Compass Project Consulting Compass Project Consulting is a leading international consultancy providing Project Management, Cost Management, and Construction Supervision services across the Middle East. We are currently supporting a landmark mixed-use high-rise development on the Jeddah Corniche and are seeking a highly experienced Resident Engineer / Project Manager to lead the supervision team. Role Summary The Resident Engineer will act as the Engineer under the construction contract and will be responsible for the overall administration, supervision, and successful delivery of a multi-tower mixed-use development including residential, hospitality, office, and retail components. This is a senior leadership position requiring strong technical expertise, contract administration experience, and proven delivery of high-rise projects in the GCC. Key Responsibilities • Lead and manage the full construction supervision team • Act as the Engineer under FIDIC-based contracts • Administer construction contracts and issue instructions • Oversee progress, quality, safety, and cost control • Review and approve shop drawings, material submittals, and RFIs • Certify monthly payments and assess variations & claims • Lead progress meetings with Client and contractors • Manage testing & commissioning and project close-out • Ensure delivery in line with programme, budget, and quality standards

Requirements

• Minimum 25+ years total experience • Proven experience as Resident Engineer / Project Manager on 40+ storey high-rise projects • Experience delivering mixed-use developments • Strong background in construction supervision (consultant side) • FIDIC contract administration experience • GCC experience (KSA preferred) • Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline • Strong leadership and stakeholder management capability Desirable Attributes • Experience on landmark or hospitality-led projects • Experience working with international PMC teams • Strong commercial and claims management exposure • Arabic language skills (advantage but not mandatory) Why Join Compass • Work on a flagship Jeddah development • Be part of a technically strong international team • Long-term project stability • Competitive tax-free package
