Our client, a long-established Houston-based bank (30+ years in operation), is seeking a Senior Risk & Compliance Analyst to join their growing team. The ideal candidate will bring strong BSA/AML expertise, critical thinking skills, and a proactive approach to compliance and risk management.

This role works closely with the VP of Risk & Compliance (a recent hire with excellent credentials) and a Compliance Analyst in a collaborative, analytical environment that values curiosity, accountability, and independent thought.

Key Details:

• Hybrid Schedule: In-office Tuesday & Wednesday (additional day during training)
• Hours: 7:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
• Location: Downtown Houston (paid parking)
• Compensation: $100K+ base plus 20–30% bonus potential, fully paid family medical, and generous 401(k)

What You’ll Do:

• Support the BSA Officer in maintaining and enhancing BSA/AML/CIP/KYC/OFAC compliance programs and controls.
• Analyze data and recommend improvements to AML systems and processes.
• Identify and monitor compliance risks; prepare risk assessments and escalate emerging issues.
• Stay current on evolving regulatory changes and industry best practices.
• Prepare reports, metrics, and analyses for management and regulators.
• Conduct self-testing, support audits, and assist with regulatory exams.
• Perform OFAC, KYC, EDD, and CDD reviews for onboarding and ongoing monitoring.
• Review CIP and Beneficial Ownership documentation; perform PEP screening.
• Develop and deliver compliance training across departments.
• Provide guidance on BSA and regulatory compliance issues as needed.

What You’ll Bring:

• Minimum 3+ years of experience in BSA/AML compliance, risk, or financial crime prevention.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of federal and state banking regulations.
• Analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and a natural curiosity to learn and improve.
• CAMS certification preferred, or willingness to obtain.
