Senior Route Planner

The Role
Posteo Transport is seeking a strategic Senior Route Planner to optimize our metropolitan delivery network from our Al Dafna headquarters. In a district defined by high-rise commercial hubs and complex traffic regulations, your ability to design efficient, adaptive routing is the key to our operational success. We are looking for an analytical thinker who can balance theoretical efficiency with the ground-level realities of Doha’s urban landscape.

Core Responsibilities

• Strategic Route Design: Develop and maintain daily routing schedules for a diverse fleet, ensuring maximum drop-density and minimum fuel consumption across the Al Dafna and West Bay corridors.
• Traffic Intelligence: Analyze real-time traffic data and historical congestion patterns to adjust routes dynamically, ensuring 100% on-time performance during peak business hours.
• Geospatial Optimization: Utilize advanced GIS and routing software to identify the most efficient paths, accounting for vehicle weight restrictions, one-way systems, and security zones.
• Fleet Coordination: Liaise directly with the driving team and dispatchers to provide clear, actionable trip sheets and real-time navigation support for complex deliveries.
• Efficiency Analytics: Track and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as cost-per-mile, delivery window compliance, and idle time to drive continuous improvement.

Professional Profile

• Minimum 5–7 years of experience in logistics planning, dispatch, or route optimization within an urban environment.
• Expert-level knowledge of Doha’s road infrastructure, specifically the Al Dafna, Lusail, and Corniche areas.
• Proficiency in logistics software (e.g., Oracle Transportation Management, PTV Route Optimiser, or similar FMS tools).
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills with the ability to solve complex spatial problems under pressure.
• Excellent communication skills to bridge the gap between technical planning and driver execution.
