Position Summary
The Senior Sales Consultant is responsible for field-based sales of Elevation DME's Durable Medical Equipment (DME) product portfolio. This includes CPAP therapy equipment, Home Sleep Testing (HST) services, Augmentative & Alternative Communication (AAC) devices, and power mobility products such as specialized power wheelchairs. The role involves managing a territory, developing referral relationships, conducting product education, and driving revenue growth.

This is an experienced sales role requiring either:

Bachelor's degree and 1-2 years of direct, field-based DME sales experience,

or 2-3 years of direct DME sales experience within one or more of the product categories listed above.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The following duties are considered essential to the successful performance of this position:

  • Develop and manage relationships with physicians, clinical staff, therapy teams, and healthcare facilities within an assigned territory.

  • Conduct field-based sales activities including prospecting, cold outreach, account development, and referral generation.

  • Deliver professional product demonstrations and education sessions for CPAP, HST, AAC, and power mobility solutions.

  • Communicate product features, clinical indications, and integration into provider workflows.

  • Assist healthcare providers and office staff with documentation, prescription processes, insurance requirements, and product selection.

  • Develop and execute a strategic territory plan aligned with company revenue goals.

  • Maintain accurate reporting of sales activities, account updates, forecasting, and territory metrics.

  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure timely patient onboarding, equipment delivery, and service support.

  • Uphold Elevation DME's standards for professionalism, compliance, and patient-centered service delivery.

  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by management.

Job Classification
This position is classified as a Senior Mid-level medical sales role. It is subject to all Elevation DME company policies, performance expectations, compliance requirements, and HR procedures.

Required Qualifications
Candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required (Business, Healthcare, Life Sciences, or related field preferred).

  • One of the following experience profiles is required:

    • 1-2 years of direct, field-based DME sales experience, OR

    • 2-3 years of direct DME sales experience in at least one of the following categories:

      • CPAP or respiratory therapy equipment

      • Home Sleep Testing (HST) or sleep diagnostics

      • Augmentative & Alternative Communication (AAC) devices

      • Power mobility or complex rehabilitation equipment

  • Demonstrated success working directly with healthcare providers, clinic staff, or rehabilitation professionals.

  • Strong consultative selling abilities and clinical communication skills.

  • Proven capacity to manage a field territory independently with minimal supervision.

  • Excellent organization, follow-through, and relationship-building skills.

  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Preferred Qualifications
Candidates meeting the required qualifications above may receive preference if they also possess:

  • Experience selling multiple DME product lines concurrently.

  • Established referral networks within sleep medicine, pulmonology, neurology, rehabilitation, or primary care.

  • Familiarity with documentation requirements, medical necessity criteria, and payer processes.

  • Experience in complex rehab technology sales.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • This role requires frequent local travel within the assigned territory.

  • Regular visits to medical offices, clinics, therapy centers, and healthcare facilities.

  • Ability to lift and transport demonstration equipment (typically under 25 lbs).

  • Standard business hours with periodic flexibility based on provider schedules.
