WHAT IS THE ROLE?

As our Event Sales Manager, you will be responsible for selling Event Sales efforts at Pinky Swear.

This position will be a multi-faceted role that encompasses event sales, business development, community relations, strategy, operations, performance management, forging strategic partnerships and more.

Our ideal candidate is entrepreneurial, enthusiastic, and motivated sales and account manager who is passionate about providing people amazing experiences in hospitality and leading sales efforts and more importantly, being able to translate that leadership into overall revenue growth from your market segments you cultivate. We are looking for someone a breadth of experience in the sales and business development space with a consumer retail or hospitality brand. We are looking for someone who wants to fully immerse themselves in helping shape a brand and company from the ground up.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive event marketing strategies to attract clients and maximize attendance.
  • Lead the planning and management of events from inception to completion, including venue selection, catering arrangements, and logistics coordination.
  • Negotiate contracts with vendors, venues, and clients to secure favorable terms.
  • Oversee budgeting processes to ensure events are delivered within financial parameters.
  • Coordinate with catering teams, banquet staff, and other service providers to deliver high-quality guest experiences.
  • Manage client relationships by providing exceptional customer service and addressing client needs promptly.
  • Upsell additional services or packages to enhance event value and increase revenue.
  • Supervise event staff and coordinate team efforts during event setup, execution, and breakdown.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations throughout all stages of event management.
  • Track event performance metrics and prepare post-event reports for continuous improvement.

Skills

  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to secure advantageous contracts.
  • Proven experience in marketing and promoting events effectively.
  • Expertise in upselling additional services or upgrades to clients.
  • Extensive knowledge of event marketing, planning, and management best practices.
  • Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.
  • Excellent time management skills to handle multiple projects efficiently under tight deadlines.
  • Experience managing large-scale events such as banquets, weddings, corporate functions, or fundraising galas as well as experience managing small scale events.
  • Proficiency in budgeting and financial management related to event operations.
  • Outstanding communication skills for liaising with clients, vendors, and team members.
  • Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Previous experience in hospitality sectors such as hotels, restaurants, or catering is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with contracts, venue logistics, catering arrangements, and guest services. This position offers an exciting opportunity for a dynamic professional passionate about creating memorable events while driving business growth through strategic sales initiatives.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

This role will have five (5) main areas of responsibilities:

1. Be the Sales Team Champion (Team Management): We need an absolute rockstar who loves growing relationships with your accounts and driving performance. We will be growing one of the coolest concepts in the country that is perfect for events. You will be responsible for setting the standard for sales best practice and you model it to all those around you.

2. Build the Perfect Event (Event Packaging and Pricing): Pinky Swear is the perfect place for events. With multiple immersive private event spaces, and top of the line food, beverage, interior design, and art, we are an event planner’s dream. A major focus of your role will be leveraging our event packages, pricing, and spaces to create the best possible experience for all types of events and celebrations.

3. Celebrate Events the Right Way (Event Guest Experience): As our Director of Sales you will work alongside our reservation and operations team to ensure event guests has an incredible experience. This will include constant communication between all stakeholders involved to ensure we execute every event perfectly. It has been a long time for some people without hosting events, we want to make sure we do it up right for every person who comes through our door!

4. Be the Face of the Brand (Brand Ambassador) You will be a brand ambassador for Pinky Swear across the entire country. As you jump into this role, we want you to do more than just help sell events, we want you to represent and grow our brand holistically. From Day 1, you should look for ways to promote brand and all the amazing things we offer as we look to grow nationally.

5. Crush Sales Goals (Performance Management): We love to hustle and crush our goals. As the Director of Sales, you will be responsible for meeting and exceeding sales goals and KPIs, developing tactics and strategies, and driving sales performance across your team.

· 3 – 5+ years working in sales / account management role for a hospitality company

· Demonstrated track record of strong corporate event sales and business development

· Strong local knowledge with key contacts across the NYC market is plus
