The Senior SAP Analyst position is critical to success by helping to design, implement, and support business processes and drive operational efficiency in the areas of Production Planning and Scheduling, Materials Management, Logistics, Customer Service, and Finance.

The ideal candidate will have efficient ABAP experience and an understanding of SAP ERP system configuration primarily in Production Planning and Scheduling and Materials Management (TechnoFunctional). The candidate will be responsible for understanding business needs, translating them into technical requirements while being able to develop and optimize the configuration, utilization, and effectiveness of the SAP ERP system supporting our business and customers.. This role will serve as an internal Subject Matter Expert on the SAP ERP ECC 6.0 system to ensure system configuration / efficiency by working direct end user support.

Essential Functions:Perform the following duties according to ISO 9001 work instructions and standards:

  • Manage and prioritize a portfolio of SAP project areas and tasks that range in size, scope, scale, and complexity.
  • Read and modify ABAP programs, forms, and workflow per business requirements
  • Support, maintain, and optimize SAP transactional solutions for subject matter areas based on qualified business needs and business requirements, consistent with best practices.
  • Lead the implementation process, including data migration, testing, user training, and go-live activities, ensuring a smooth transition of new or modified processes.
  • Analyze and understand business requirements, build functional/technical design documentation, prototype solutions, configure SAP, perform testing, and ultimately deliver SAP solutions that meet or exceed business requirements and enterprise quality standards.
  • Accountable for end-to-end documentation, including end-to-end SAP functional documentation, solution design specifications, data mapping, and testing.
  • Provide training and direct end-user support to key users of the Customer Service, Materials Management, Production Planning, and Logistics. (Optional - Finance modules)
  • Support SAP business processes for implemented modules. Act as next-level resource for key users as it relates to SAP transactional issues; appropriately prioritize incidents and problems to meet established goals; and effectively analyze, diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve SAP Application problems.
  • Create, remove, and maintain SAP user accounts, roles, permissions, and notifications according to established policies and workflows.
  • Maintain and update SAP master data where applicable
  • Oversee and assist maintenance / updates to Materials Master, Bills of Materials, Routings and Info Records. Serves as liaison with all the departments responsible for authorizing SAP Material Master Data. Assemble master data input information from key stakeholders (Operations, Sales & Finance). Create new items as requested from authorized stakeholders.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Deep understanding of SAP Production Planning and Scheduling and Materials Management modules. Other modules relevant to the business domain are preferred. (e.g., SD, MM, FI, CO)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify business pain points and design effective SAP solutions
  • Ability to read and make modifications to ABAP code
  • Proven experience in SAP configuration and customization
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with both technical and business stakeholders
  • Project management skills to manage implementation timelines and deliverables
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Technology, Business, or other pertinent area of study, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years SAP functional and technical experience.
  • Preferred - SAP Certification
  • Experienced with SAP master data creation and maintenance in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of SAP Materials Management including Materials Master, BOM, Routings and Variant Configuration
  • Preferred – Experience in SAP Workflow.
