Senior SAP Finance & Controlling (FICO) Consultant

Summary: We are looking for an experienced Senior SAP Finance & Controlling (FICO) Consultant to lead a major SAP transformation for a client in the Upstream Oil & Gas sector in Muscat, Oman. This role is critical to ensuring effective financial management and control within complex enterprise environments.

Main Responsibilities:

• Lead full lifecycle SAP FICO implementations including requirement gathering, solution design, configuration, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support.
• Conduct workshops and perform fit-gap analysis with finance, controlling, and business stakeholders.
• Configure SAP FICO modules according to business requirements and industry best practices.
• Support financial accounting processes including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Accounting, and Bank Accounting.
• Design and implement Controlling solutions covering Cost Center Accounting, Internal Orders, Profit Center Accounting, Product Costing, and Profitability Analysis.
• Collaborate with cross-functional SAP teams including MM, PM, PS, Procurement, and Asset Management.
• Develop functional specifications and assist in technical development activities.
• Manage testing activities including System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and production cutover.
• Provide stakeholder management and executive-level communication throughout the project lifecycle.
• Deliver user training and knowledge transfer sessions.
  
  

Key Requirements:

• 8+ years of SAP FICO consulting experience.
• Proven experience delivering multiple end-to-end SAP implementation projects.
• Strong hands-on SAP FICO configuration expertise.
• Previous experience working within the Oil & Gas industry.
• Deep understanding of financial accounting and controlling processes.
• Strong stakeholder management and client-facing consulting experience.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA Finance highly preferred.
• Excellent communication and workshop facilitation skills.

• SAP FICO Certification.
• SAP S/4HANA Finance experience.
• Previous experience on Upstream Oil & Gas projects.
