Senior Scrum Master

Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Scrum Master to lead and facilitate Agile project teams within a dynamic enterprise environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, organizational, and technical skills to ensure successful project delivery aligned with business objectives. This role involves guiding teams through Agile methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe, while coordinating with stakeholders to optimize project outcomes. The Senior Scrum Master will play a pivotal role in fostering continuous improvement, ensuring adherence to SDLC and IT governance standards, and managing complex projects involving cloud computing, IT infrastructure, and enterprise software solutions.

Duties

• Lead multiple Agile teams by facilitating daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives to promote Agile best practices.
• Coordinate project activities using tools such as Jira, VersionOne, Microsoft Project, and SharePoint to ensure timely delivery of project milestones.
• Collaborate with product owners and stakeholders to gather requirements, define user stories, and develop comprehensive test cases for user acceptance testing.
• Oversee project scheduling, resource allocation, and risk management using methodologies like PMBOK and Waterfall where applicable.
• Manage project implementation phases including release management, deployment planning, and disaster recovery strategies.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives through analysis skills and organizational techniques; implement process enhancements aligned with Agile frameworks like SAFe and Kanban.
• Monitor progress using metrics such as velocity and burn-down charts; communicate status updates effectively across teams and leadership.
• Ensure compliance with IT governance standards related to security, data integrity, and infrastructure stability across cloud computing environments.
• Provide leadership in test-driven development (TDD), user acceptance testing (UAT), and software development lifecycle (SDLC) activities.
• Facilitate effective negotiation among team members and stakeholders to resolve conflicts and align expectations.

Experience

• Proven experience as a Scrum Master in enterprise software development environments.
• Extensive knowledge of Agile frameworks including Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, and Waterfall methodologies.
• Strong familiarity with project management tools such as Jira, VersionOne, Microsoft Project, Visio, SharePoint, and Microsoft Office Suite (Word & Excel).
• Hands-on experience with cloud computing platforms (AWS preferred), IT infrastructure management, databases (SQL & Oracle), and software development practices including test-driven development.
• Demonstrated ability to gather requirements effectively and translate them into actionable project plans; experience with requirements gathering tools is a plus.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
• Strong analysis skills for risk assessment and process optimization; experience in user acceptance testing is desirable.
• Effective communication skills for stakeholder engagement at all levels; leadership qualities that inspire team collaboration and drive results.
• Knowledge of project management methodologies such as PMBOK or similar frameworks is highly preferred. Pay: $105,506.24 - $127,061.28 per year
