Support the Security Manager with daily operations of the Security Department, including but not limited to:
Education/Certification:
High school diploma or GED
Some college preferred
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Aptitude for successful completion of tasks assigned
Ability to work under pressure in crises situations
Ability to work within a diversified culture
Exhibit and embrace teamwork
Ability to lift and carry 60 pounds without assistance
Ability to read basic operating instructions, write reports, and communicate with staff via radio and/or telephone
Experience:
Experience in a related area including, but not limited to, Security in Education, Law Enforcement or Military
Participate in the process of interviewing and selecting new hire candidates.
Support Security Manager with coordinating Security Specialist scheduling to ensure proper coverage is maintained.
Submit work orders to appropriate FISD department.
Assist Security Manger in scheduling and supervising projects, many of which involve vendors/contractors.
Communicate with various levels of support staff, campus staff, administrators, vendors, and contractors.
Support Security Manager with reviewing invoices submitted by vendors/contractors for completion status and correct dollar amount.
Visit campuses for various onsite training.
Support Security Manger in meeting with campuses that submit requests for additional cameras, badge readers, or other security related items.
Access Control – Although Security has access to the DSX system that controls DSX, our Integrator (McKinney Security Systems) may be required to resolve access control issue(s).
Interruption of security camera service; our Integrator, McKinney Security Systems, manages the backbone network of the district’s Security camera system.
When Security Specialist notifies of various campus items that require immediate attention, make notification call to appropriate District department.
