Position Overview

Modern Foundation is seeking a forward-thinking and strategic SEO/GEO Strategist to lead and evolve initiatives across our client portfolio with a fluency in AI use and application. This role requires a unique blend of high-level strategy, data analysis, content development, thought leadership, and a clear understanding of the diligent use of AI in the content and SEO space.

As an SEO/GEO candidate, you possess a blend of traditional and AI-focused skills to maximize online visibility across all search types. You will work at the intersection of business needs, audience expectations, and emerging technologies—crafting content ecosystems that drive engagement, personalization, and measurable impact.

You’ll help our clients articulate their brand clearly and consistently. You’ll build smart content systems that grow with them and ensure everything, from storytelling to SEO, works together.

What You’ll Do

Lead and Execute Strategy

Partner with clients and teams to identify opportunities for brand authority, discoverability, and content-led growth. Translate client business goals into actionable content strategies across web, social, and marketing platforms to support user engagement and the evolving digital trends.

Develop and Optimize SEO/GEO Strategy

Lead the development of holistic SEO/GEO strategies—integrating keyword research, technical SEO insights, content optimization, and performance tracking to drive organic visibility, engagement and demand.

Leverage AI and Emerging Tech

Identify and guide the use of AI-driven content applications such as generative tools, personalization engines, and conversational interfaces—with a critical understanding of when and how they add value.

Lead Insights and Analysis

Conduct audits and performance analyses to surface content gaps, user friction, and strategic opportunities—translating data into action. You will define the “why” and leverage trends in the data to build an impactful strategy.

Mentor and Advise

Serve as a trusted advisor to clients and cross-functional teams, contributing to the growth of Modern Foundation’s content and SEO practice through mentorship and thought leadership.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in content strategy, digital strategy, or a related field, ideally in an agency or consulting environment.
  • Major or Minor degree in English or Writing, not required but ideal
  • Strong understanding of SEO/GEO, inbound marketing, and content performance metrics.
  • Ability to analyze patterns within the data and translate into actionable insights.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Fluency in the role and limitations of AI in content strategy (e.g., personalization, GenAI, structured vs. generative content).
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex systems simply and persuasively.
  • Strong project management, discipline leadership, and cross-functional collaboration abilities.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
