Senior Service Coordinator

Powered By CAN are looking for a creative and passionate Senior Service Coordinator to join our successful play, physical activity and public health service. In this role, you will plan, coordinate, and deliver high-quality extra-curricular sessions within both local community and educational settings. We are seeking an individual with a firm grasp of sector strategy, exceptional relationship management skills, and the commercial acumen necessary to support our goals for sustainable growth and high-impact delivery.

Experience

  • To represent the organisation with local and regional networks of supporters and stakeholders.
  • To support and motivate the team to drive performance.
  • To participate in regular team meetings and supervision meetings.
  • Attend ideas meetings and contribute to discussions about the future of PbC.
  • To identify personal development and training opportunities for self and team & disseminate CDP & training opportunities to PbC staff.
  • To contribute ideas that may support the ongoing development of the organisation.
  • To contribute to the programming and administration of bespoke commissioned services.
  • To ensure confidentiality within the organisation at all times.
  • To participate in activities which fall outside of normal working hours as required, e.g. Training, Staff Meetings, Recruitment/Engagement events, fundraising events, etc.
  • To undertake such other duties and responsibilities of an equivalent nature as may be determined from time to time by SLT.

Essential Skills

  • A minimum of 2-3 years of management/coordination or team leading experience.
  • A minimum of 2-3 years of coordinating/managing the delivering play, physical activity or public health services.
  • Hold a relevant play, physical activity or public health qualification, or be willing to work towards one.
  • A recognised qualification at level 3 above specific to the role (or willing to work towards).
  • A keen and active interest in the vision and purpose of PbC and a knowledge of the culture, creative, education and youth sectors.
  • Working knowledge of the Black Country and surrounding areas (including knowledge of marginalised communities).
  • Understanding of the importance of Health & Safety in the workplace.
  • Completion of Safeguarding Awareness/Child Protection course.
  • Health & Safety and First Aidcertificate.
  • Ability to work towards targets and specific Key performance indicators.
  • Ability to use data management systems.
  • To respond to new challenges with agility and a proactive approach with an understanding of equal opportunities and cultural diversity issues in the delivery of our services.
  • To work effectively independently and collaborate on a daily basis.
  • Working knowledge of relevant software packages (Microsoft Office Suite, Google).

32 Hours Per Week
Duration of Contract: 31st March 2029
Deadline: 13th July 2026 (12pm)

Pay: £21,149.44-£22,749.44 per year
