Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Site & Technical Office Engineer to lead and coordinate the execution of laboratory fit-out projects. The role involves full responsibility for site execution and technical coordination of mechanical, electrical, plumbing (MEP), and architectural/finishing works, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in compliance with approved designs, specifications, and regulatory requirements.
The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on site experience combined with solid technical office capabilities, including shop drawings, coordination, and stakeholder management.
Key Responsibilities Site Execution & Supervision
- Lead on-site execution of laboratory fit-out projects.
- Supervise and coordinate mechanical (HVAC, plumbing, gases), electrical (power, lighting, low current), and finishing works.
- Ensure works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and project schedules.
- Monitor daily site activities, manpower deployment, and productivity.
- Ensure compliance with HSE standards, quality requirements, and local authority regulations.

- Project Cost Management
Technical Office & Coordination
- Review, prepare, and coordinate shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and technical clarifications.
- Identify design discrepancies and propose technical solutions in coordination with consultants and designers.
- Coordinate with other disciplines to resolve clashes and sequencing issues.
- Support value engineering and constructability reviews where required.
Supplier, Subcontractor & Stakeholder Management
- Manage and coordinate suppliers, subcontractors, and specialist vendors (lab furniture, MEP systems ...).
- Ensure timely procurement, delivery, and installation of materials and equipment.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, project managers, and authorities to ensure alignment on scope, approvals, and deliverables.
- Attend coordination meetings, site meetings, and technical reviews; prepare progress updates and reports.
Quality, Cost & Schedule Control
- Ensure works meet quality standards and project specifications; support inspections and snagging activities.
- Track progress against the approved schedule and report delays or risks.
- Support quantity take-offs, variations, and change management related to site and technical issues.
- Assist in testing, commissioning, handover, and final documentation.
Qualifications & ExperienceEducation
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
Experience
- 7–12 years of experience in turnkey fit-out projects, preferably laboratory, healthcare, pharmaceutical, or high-spec technical environments.
- Proven experience supervising MEP and finishing works on site.
- Strong background in technical office activities (shop drawings, coordination, submittals).
- Experience working with multiple stakeholders in fast-track or design-and-build projects.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong understanding of MEP systems and integration with architectural works.
- Ability to read, interpret, and coordinate drawings across disciplines.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities on site.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and project coordination tools.
- Familiarity with local codes, standards, and authority requirements .
