Senior Software Consultant (WebRTC and Video Platform)

We are seeking a highly experienced Software Consultant with deep expertise in real-time communication to provide technical oversight and architectural guidance for our live webinar and video meeting platform.

Our platform is built and functional, but we require a senior expert to help us resolve persistent issues, improve stability, and prepare for scaling. This is a strategic role focused on auditing, planning, and mentoring our in-house development team.

Key Responsibilities:

* Perform a comprehensive audit of the existing codebase, architecture, and infrastructure to identify performance bottlenecks, technical debt, and security concerns.

* Develop a clear, actionable roadmap to address stability faults and guide the platform's evolution.

* Provide expert mentorship and technical guidance to our current developer on best practices for WebRTC and complex systems.

* Review and approve major code changes and architectural decisions to ensure long-term quality and scalability.

* Advise on strategies to efficiently scale the platform to support a growing number of concurrent users.

Required Qualifications:

* 8+ years of professional software development experience.

* Proven, hands-on experience building and/or scaling real-time communication platforms using WebRTC.

* Deep understanding of audio/video streaming concepts, including codecs, network latency, and STUN/TURN servers.

* Strong background in backend development for scalable applications (e.g., Node.js, Python, Java).

* Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to diagnose complex technical issues.

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to mentor other developers.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience in a consultant or technical advisor role.

* Experience with cloud infrastructure

* A background in conducting code/architecture reviews for other teams or companies.

Schedule and Compensation:

* This is a contract consultant position.

* Expected commitment of 5-10 hours per week.

* Remote work.
