About the Role
We’re seeking a Senior Software Engineer who thrives in fast-paced environments and takes pride in crafting scalable, reliable, and elegant software. In this role, you’ll be deeply involved in every stage of the development lifecycle — from concept and design to implementation, testing, and deployment. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver seamless user experiences across web and mobile platforms and help shape the future of ranching technology.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality, scalable web applications using React.
• Build and deploy cross-platform mobile apps using React Native.
• Design and implement RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to define and deliver great user experiences.
• Write, review, and maintain unit and integration tests to ensure code quality.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex technical issues.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends.
• Mentor and support junior engineers, fostering a culture of learning and excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+) and modern frameworks like React.
• Experience with state management libraries (Redux, Context API, etc.).
• Proficiency in building and consuming REST APIs.
• Familiarity with mobile app development (iOS and Android).
• Experience with Git or other version control systems.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to balance autonomy with teamwork in a dynamic environment.

Bonus Points

• Hands-on experience with React Native.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Knowledge of testing frameworks (Jest, Cypress).
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines.
• Open-source contributions or personal project portfolio.
• Background or interest in agriculture, IoT, or data visualization.
