Senior Software Engineer

About the Role:
Carrelli International Services is a growing technology company based in Doha, focused on building scalable, high-performance software solutions for enterprise clients. We believe strong engineering is the foundation of great digital products, and we are looking for a Senior Software Engineer who can take ownership of complex backend and full-stack systems.

You will not just be writing code—you will be shaping architecture, improving system performance, and helping define the technical direction of our products. You will work closely with product managers, DevOps engineers, and other developers to build reliable, secure, and scalable applications that support real business operations.

Key Responsibilities:
System Architecture: Design and develop scalable backend systems, microservices, and APIs that support enterprise-grade applications.

Full-Stack Development: Build and maintain high-quality software across backend and frontend systems where required.

Performance & Scalability: Optimize application performance, database queries, and infrastructure efficiency.

Code Quality: Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following best practices and modern engineering standards.

Collaboration: Work closely with DevOps, QA, and product teams to ensure smooth delivery and deployment cycles.

Problem Solving: Debug production issues, identify root causes, and implement long-term technical solutions.

Technical Input: Contribute to architecture discussions, technical planning, and system design decisions.

What We Are Looking For:

Experience: 5+ years of experience in software development, preferably in backend or full-stack engineering roles.

Technical Skills: Strong experience with at least one of the following: Java, Python, .NET, or Node.js. Solid understanding of APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.

Cloud & Infrastructure: Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is highly preferred. Familiarity with Docker and CI/CD pipelines is a plus.

Database Knowledge: Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc.).

Problem-Solving: Strong analytical mindset with the ability to break down complex technical problems into scalable solutions.

Mindset: You are structured, detail-oriented, and focused on building systems that are stable, efficient, and maintainable. You know when to optimize and when to deliver pragmatically.
