Senior Software Engineer

Software Engineer | Java, AWS | Berlin | €70k - €85k | German B2+

We're looking for a talented Software Engineer with a strong background in Java and AWS to join a fast growing team in Berlin.

In this role, you'll develop and maintain scalable backend applications, contribute to the design of new features, and work closely with product managers, QA, and fellow engineers to deliver high-quality software. We're looking for someone who enjoys solving technical challenges, writing clean, maintainable code, and collaborating in an agile environment.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality Java applications and backend services
• Build and enhance RESTful APIs and integrate with internal and external systems
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver new features from concept through to production
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following engineering best practices
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical discussions and architectural decisions
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimise applications to ensure performance and reliability
• Support continuous improvement of development processes and engineering standards

Requirements:

• Strong commercial experience developing applications with Java
• Experience building RESTful APIs and backend services
• Strong cloud experience with AWS
• Familiarity with relational databases and modern software development practices
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams
• German language skills at B2 level or above (required)
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
