The Azure Core Compute team in India Development Center (IDC) is focused on delivering a cloud platform capable of running any workload. The team is rapidly growing and works on advancing cloud architecture, data center management, and foundational infrastructure. Engineers collaborate to push boundaries and deliver innovations that improve performance, scalability, and reliability across the Azure ecosystem.
We are seeking Senior Software Engineer, Azure Host Networking with experience in software development and team leadership. Candidates should bring a willingness to explore new ideas, take calculated risks, and apply fast-fail techniques to drive innovation. Experience in host networking stacks, Data Plane Development Kit (DPDK), and System on Chip (SoC) architectures for accelerated networking is highly valued. The role involves leading engineering efforts to deliver high-quality solutions in a key performance indicator (KPI)-driven environment.

Own the efforts to resolve some of the technically deepest problems in the SDN (Software Defined Networking) and host networking areas.

Follow the latest developments in technology, work with consortiums/forums in the industry actively, and help our cloud infrastructure evolve towards the next big growth.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science

OR related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python

4+ years experience in software development, including:

Technical engineering with coding in languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.

Strong design, coding, and debugging skills.

1+ year(s) experience in networking, distributed systems, and network virtualization.
