Role Description

This is a full-time on-site position based in Lahore for a Senior Software Engineer specializing in Laravel. The role involves developing, testing, and maintaining high-quality back-end web solutions using Laravel. Responsibilities include designing and implementing software architecture, writing efficient code, debugging, and ensuring system performance and scalability by adhering to best practices in software development.

What You’ll Do

• Architect, develop, and maintain robust web applications using Laravel and modern PHP frameworks.
• Design and optimize database structures using MySQL/PostgreSQL.
• Implement and maintain APIs (RESTful, GraphQL) and third-party integrations.
• Leverage Agentic AI assistants to automate repetitive coding tasks, generate boilerplate code, and suggest performance/security improvements.
• Ensure code quality with unit testing, integration testing, and CI/CD pipelines enhanced by AI-driven analysis.
• Optimize application performance, security, and scalability using AI-powered monitoring and profiling tools.
• Maintain and improve codebase quality, ensuring consistency, readability, and adherence to best practices.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, including system architecture, API documentation, and AI-augmented coding standards.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other developers to create seamless user experiences.
• Mentor junior developers and conduct code reviews, using AI to highlight potential improvements and maintain development standards.

What We’re Looking For

• 6+ years of experience in software development, with a strong focus on Laravel.
• Proficiency in PHP 8, Laravel 10+, MySQL/PostgreSQL, and modern frontend frameworks (Vue.js, React, or Alpine.js preferred).
• Experience with Docker, Redis, and queue management for high-performance applications.
• Strong understanding of SOLID principles, design patterns, and best practices.
• Hands-on experience with version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines, and cloud environments (AWS, DigitalOcean, etc.).
• Familiarity with authentication & authorization (OAuth, JWT, Laravel Sanctum).
• Experience leveraging AI-assisted development tools or frameworks to improve efficiency, quality, and automation.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or collaboratively in a team.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Microservices architecture and event-driven development.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices, Kubernetes, Terraform, and AI-driven infrastructure optimization.
• Familiarity with AI model integration, LLM-based code review tools, or autonomous task planning agents.
