Senior Software Engineer (Node.js, React)

Client: Our client is a leading corporation specializing in innovative technology solutions for the insurance industry.
Project overview: The project's technology-driven services establish the quality, efficiency, and value benchmark in the insurance industry. With a unique blend of people, technology, and expertise, the project consistently handles millions of insurance transactions annually for its customers.

• Responsibilities: Develop and maintain high-quality software solutions (frontend and backend).
• Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards.
• Collaborate remotely with the client’s product management and engineering teams.
• Follow and help define project standards, approaches, and policies.
• Gather and analyze business and technical requirements.
• Break down user stories into detailed technical tasks.
• Participate in task prioritization and sprint planning.

• 5+ years of relevant experience in software development and design.
• Strong proficiency in React for frontend development.
• Solid experience with Node.js and the Nest.js framework for backend development.
• Deep understanding of the full software development lifecycle.
• Strong knowledge of SOA standards (REST/JSON).
• Good understanding of database systems (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc.).
• Proficiency with Git and source control services (e.g., GitHub).
• Experience working in Agile environments.
• Foundational knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• Ability to work effectively in an environment without dedicated QA engineers (self-testing mindset is very important for the client).
• Excellent communication skills and good spoken English.
• High level of autonomy, trustworthiness, and accountability.
