  • Role Overview

    We are seeking a highly skilled Senior QA Engineer who is not only deeply experienced in test automation and quality assurance but also possesses a strong technical foundation and a strategic mindset. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of distributed architectures, hands-on coding experience, and broad exposure to multiple testing frameworks and methodologies.

    This role demands a forward-thinker who is passionate about exploring and adopting emerging trends - like AI-driven test automation - and who can lead and mentor teams to implement best practices, make informed decisions about testing strategies, and continuously improve our quality processes. The ideal candidate will also have excellent communication skills, a strong sense of ownership and drive, exceptional collaboration abilities, and a genuine desire to make a meaningful impact on the product and the team.


    Key Responsibilities

    • Lead the QA strategy and execution for complex distributed systems and microservices-based architectures.

    • Evaluate, recommend, and implement appropriate testing frameworks and tools tailored to specific project needs and technical contexts.

    • Develop and maintain automated test suites using various frameworks and languages, ensuring scalability, reliability, and maintainability.

    • Collaborate effectively across teams - developers, product owners, DevOps and other Stakeholders - to embed quality throughout the software development lifecycle.

    • Mentor and guide QA team members on technical skills, best practices, and innovative testing approaches.

    • Drive the adoption of AI and machine learning technologies to enhance test automation efficiency and effectiveness.

    • Communicate clearly and proactively with stakeholders to provide insights, progress updates, and quality risks.

    • Take strong ownership of quality outcomes, championing continuous improvement initiatives and driving results with passion and accountability.

    • Foster a collaborative and inclusive environment that encourages knowledge sharing and innovation.

    • Stay current with industry trends, emerging tools, and technologies, and integrate them into the QA roadmap.

    • Define and enforce quality standards, metrics, and reporting mechanisms.

    • Facilitate knowledge sharing sessions and workshops to uplift team capabilities and awareness of new methodologies.


    Qualifications & Skills

    • Proven experience (typically 6+ years) as a QA Engineer with a strong technical background.

    • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, or similar for test automation development.

    • Hands-on experience with multiple test automation frameworks (e.g., Cypress, JUnit, TestNG, Playwright, Selenium) and the ability to select the best tool for the job.

    • Deep understanding of distributed systems, microservices, APIs, and cloud-native architectures.

    • Experience in designing and implementing end-to-end testing strategies including unit, integration, system, and performance testing.

    • Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and integration of automated testing into DevOps workflows.

    • Demonstrated ability to evaluate new technologies, including AI/ML applications in test automation.

    • Excellent problem-solving, effective communication, and leadership skills.

    • Proven ability to collaborate across teams and drive initiatives with strong ownership and accountability.

    • Passionate about making a measurable impact through quality and innovation.

    • Ability to mentor and inspire teams to adopt best practices and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

    • Experience with test management tools and defect tracking systems (e.g., Jira, TestRail).

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred.


    Nice to Have

    • Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, Gatling).

    • Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).

    • Familiarity with security testing principles and tools.

    • Contribution to open-source QA projects or communities.
