About the role
We are seeking a
Senior Specialist – Financial Planning & Reporting
to strengthen our finance function and support informed decision-making across our projects, SPVs, and corporate entities. This role will sit at the heart of Amali’s financial engine – driving robust reporting, budgeting, and forecasting processes while ensuring full alignment between project performance, cash flows, and strategic priorities.
You will partner closely with Finance, Projects, Sales, and Commercial teams to deliver accurate, timely, and insightful financial information to senior leadership.
Financial reporting & GL management

Lead periodic financial reporting for all SPVs, projects, and corporate entities.

Prepare accurate financial statements with complete reconciliations (intercompany, bank, suppliers, customers, advances).

Manage the full month-end close, including journals, accruals, prepayments, allocations, and adjustments.

Consolidate project and corporate financial data for management reporting and group submissions.

Prepare monthly reporting packs with KPIs, trends, risks, and executive-level insights.

Support ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting requests from the line manager and senior leadership.
Budgeting, forecasting & performance analysis

Support preparation of annual corporate and project budgets.

Prepare quarterly forecasts, rolling cash flow projections, and funding schedules.

Reconcile budget vs. actuals for overheads, SPVs, and project allocations, highlighting key variances.

Provide variance analysis, trend insights, and risk updates to support decision making.

Coordinate underlying assumptions with finance, project, sales, and commercial teams.

Reconcile financial data between the trial balance and FP&A / reporting tools.
Cash flow, cost monitoring & project reporting

Prepare daily cash positions and monthly cash flow forecasts, highlighting funding gaps or surpluses.

Monitor bank balances, escrow accounts, and project collections.

Report and analyze monthly cost deviations for key project cost categories.

Reconcile cost submissions with approved budgets and forecasts.

Monitor IPCs, variations, and provisional sum (PS) items to ensure reporting accuracy.

Support scenario analysis and long-range financial planning for the development pipeline.
Experience & Skills

Bachelors degree in Finance or Accounting; 8 - 10 years of experience in real estate development or construction is strongly preferred.

Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills.

Solid understanding of project budgets, BOQs, PS items, escrow rules, and cost processes in a development environment.

Hands-on experience with ERP, cost control systems, and project reporting tools.

Strong working knowledge of IFRS applicable to real estate.

Proven ability to manage multiple deadlines, high-volume reconciliations, and complex data sets.

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and present insights clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
