The Senior Staff Nurse is responsible for supervising and providing high-quality nursing care, guiding junior nurses, ensuring patient safety, and maintaining professional standards in accordance with hospital policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Supervise and guide staff nurses, ANMs, and nursing assistants in daily clinical duties.
- Administer medications, IV infusions, and treatments as prescribed by doctors.
- Monitor patients’ conditions, record observations, and promptly report critical changes.
- Ensure proper documentation, maintenance of medical records, and adherence to protocols.
- Assist physicians during medical procedures and emergency situations.
- Maintain infection control practices, patient safety, and hygiene standards.
- Provide patient and family education on care, treatment plans, and preventive health.
- Participate in nursing audits, quality checks, and continuous training programs.
- Schedule duties, manage shifts, and ensure adequate staffing in wards/units.
- Act as a mentor and trainer for junior nurses and interns.
- Handle complaints, escalate issues to the Nursing Superintendent when required.
Qualifications & Skills:
- B.Sc. Nursing / GNM with valid State Nursing Council registration.
- Minimum 3–5 years of clinical experience (depending on hospital requirement).
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Sound knowledge of nursing practices, protocols, and hospital procedures.
- Excellent communication, compassion, and problem-solving skills.
Work Conditions:
- Rotational shifts (including nights, weekends, and holidays).
- May be assigned to wards, ICU, emergency, or specialty units as per hospital requirements.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
