Senior Structural Engineer

Role Summary

The Primary role of the Senior Structure Design Engineer to prepare preliminary designs for various structures to support the unit’s steel upgrades projects through providing structural engineering and land surveying management expertise, support and specialist advice to the corporate property division and its clients.

Duties and Responsibilities

- Perform hands-on structural analyses for offshore structures, with a primary focus on Jack-up Rigs.

- Conduct extensive analyses of hull structures, including local strength, global strength, and fatigue.

- Develop and create workshop drawings.

- Conduct rig surveys and assessments.

- Ensure designs comply with industry-recommended practices and applicable class rules (e.g., ABS, DNV).

Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with a specialization in Steel Structures.

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the shipbuilding and offshore industry.

- Demonstrated experience in shipyard projects or Offshore Steel construction projects.

- In-depth knowledge of design using standard codes and rules (e.g., AISC, API).

- Proficiency in structural analysis software programs (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Staad Pro).
