About Sugared Beach

Sugared Beach is a boutique wellness studio opening in Daphne, Alabama, specializing in sugaring hair removal, airbrush sunless tanning, halotherapy (salt therapy), and marine body wraps. We are an owner-operated studio — not a franchise — which means the culture, quality, and compensation we describe are exactly what you will experience. The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced, client-focused Senior Sugarist to serve as our lead service provider and a cornerstone of our team. This is a full-time position with a strong base wage, meaningful commission on every service and retail sale, 100% of your tips, and a genuine work environment that respects your skill, your time, and your career.

This role is for someone who:

· Has extensive professional sugaring experience and takes real pride in their technique

· Wants to build a loyal client book in a supportive boutique environment

· Is energized by mentoring newer team members and helping set the standard for service quality

· Is ready to leave the high-volume franchise grind behind

Compensation

Compensation at a Glance

$24.00/hr base — paid for all hours worked, no offset

10% service commission — on every sugaring service and body wrap performed

10% retail commission — on retail products sold

Membership commission — $3 (Ripple/Dip) or $5 (Splash/Dive) per new membership sold

100% of tips — always yours, never shared

Spray Tan Cross-Training Opportunity

Licensed estheticians who are interested in cross-training on airbrush spray tanning have the opportunity to perform tanning services and earn 10% service commission on those appointments as well — a meaningful addition on days when tanning and sugaring appointments are combined.

What You Will Do

Advanced Client Services

· Perform professional sugaring hair removal across all treatment areas — legs, arms, underarms, bikini, Brazilian, and facial areas

· Deliver marine body wrap treatments as part of our wellness service menu

· Customize every service to the individual client's skin type, hair growth patterns, and sensitivities

· Handle complex and sensitive services that require advanced skill and experience

Guest Experience

· Create a welcoming, professional, and relaxing environment for every guest

· Educate clients on sugaring, skin health, and proper pre-care and aftercare

· Build lasting client relationships that drive loyalty, rebooking, and referrals

Team Leadership & Mentorship

· Provide guidance and support to junior team members on technique and service standards

· Help maintain consistency in treatment quality across the team

· Assist with training and onboarding as the studio grows

Retail & Membership Sales

· Recommend appropriate skincare and aftercare products — and earn 10% on every sale

· Introduce clients to our full service menu — spray tanning, halotherapy, and body wraps

· Earn $3–$5 for every new Signature Membership you sell

Studio Standards

· Maintain a clean, sanitized, and organized treatment room

· Follow all sanitation, safety, and hygiene standards

· Ensure supplies are stocked and rooms are ready for every appointment

Qualifications

· Current Alabama esthetician license — required

· Extensive experience performing professional sugaring hair removal services

· Strong understanding of skin health, hair growth cycles, and advanced sugaring techniques

· Excellent client service and communication skills

· Ability to work efficiently while maintaining a high standard of service quality

· Leadership or mentorship experience preferred
