Senior Supply Chain Manager

Organization Description: Jaipur Rugs is a social enterprise that connects rural craftsmanship with global markets through its luxurious handmade carpets. It is a family run business that offers an exclusive range of hand-knotted and hand-woven rugs made using 2500 years old traditional art form.

The founder, Mr. Nand Kishore Chaudhary created a unique business model, which provides livelihood to the artisans at their doorstep. This changed the standard practice of involving middlemen to work with artisanal communities. The company currently has a network of over 40,000 artisans spread across 600 rural Indian villages in five states of India. It has an end-to-end business model, right from sourcing of wool to exporting a finished handmade rug.

The modern and eclectic collection of rugs, made using the finest wool and silk, has won numerous global awards and is currently exported to more than 45 countries with the US sales arm, Jaipur Living, Inc. located in Georgia, Atlanta.

Job Description: The specific responsibilities of the position holder will be (though not restricted to) the following:

· Lead & provide functional direction to all functions of SCM operations for effective management of Sourcing, Planning, Procurement & Vendor Management, Logistics, Plant Stores, Warehouse, Inventory, Distribution, Import-Export Management, and necessary Statutory Compliances.

· Responsible for Planning and implementing the overall supply chain strategy and operations in order to maximize the process efficiency and productivity

· Responsible for Planning, managing, and coordinating all activities related to the sourcing and procurement of necessary materials and supplies needed to meet the changing levels of product demand.

· Plan, execute and follow up the production activities and control the quality.

· Daily Production Report.

· Overall supervision of dyeing and finishing.

· Monitoring the inventory levels at warehouses and internally to ensure rotation and maximize working capital.

· Overseeing receiving, warehousing, distribution and maintenance operations

· Develop the logistics team for smooth functioning of the logistic department and update the team with best in class operations.

· Identify process bottleneck and implement solutions in a timely manner

· Process Improvement & Optimization, Material planning & Shifting.

· Develop new strategies to streamline processes and reduce cost

Academic and Professional Qualifications:

• Engineering or MBA from a premier institution with a strong academic background.
• Proven 10-15 years of experience in Supply Chain and Operations functions and roles.
• Good command over technological capabilities related to the given profile.
• Excellent Communication, Negotiation and Presentation skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹1,000,000.00 - ₹1,500,000.00 per year
