What you can expect to work on…
The Senior Planning Specialist is primarily responsible for supporting the development of production schedules and capacity planning. It also involves monitoring production schedules and expediting the flow of materials and orders through the production floor.
- Develops and maintains master production schedule to optimize asset and resource utilization in support of meeting 100% OTIF client delivery and internal production targets
- Integrates orders with master schedule; coordinates availability of raw materials, supplies, equipment, and staff as needed to meet delivery dates
- Collaborates with various departments to establish schedules and plans that allocate available resources to best serve customer needs
- Develops and maintains scenario planning models in support of current and planned asset implementation
- Identifies, prioritizes, and addresses supply issues (e.g. short-term capacity constraints, product shortage, emergency customer order received, uncovered production requirement, etc.)
- Proactively addresses supply constraints, identifying risks in supply chain, and develops contingency plans to minimize or eliminate risk
- Maintains, creates, updates, and monitors all relevant production planning orders, master data, and production schedules in the MRP /ERP system to ensure data accuracy and integrity
- Identifies supply chain continuous improvement opportunities and initiate efforts to implement continuous improvement principles throughout the organization

- 10+ years of related supply chain planning experience, with a focus on master scheduling, production planning, and shop floor scheduling
- Experience with forming and coordinating cohesive teams to create exceptional customer relationships and deliver remarkable outcomes

- 12+ years of related supply chain planning experience, with a focus on master scheduling, production planning, and shop floor scheduling
- ERP System implementation
- ASCM or ISM Certification
- Experience in an FDA or ISO regulated industry
Other things to know…
- Full-time position
- The company’s standard operating hours are Monday thru Friday 6:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. with production related activities requiring 24/7/365 shifts
- This position will have regular working hours Monday - Friday within the standard operating hours
- There is an expectation of adjusting working hours outside the standard hours to meet operational requirements as needed
- Niowave has multiple locations within the Lansing area and travel between locations is expected in the role
