NewAge is looking for a pro-active Senior Supply Planning Manager to join our Supply Chain team to take full ownership of production planning and purchasing. This role is responsible for ensuring we order the right product in the right quantities, at the right time, and that production stays on schedule. You'll lead a small team and work closely with cross-functional teams and 3rd party suppliers to track production progress, resolve delays, and communicate clear updates. Success in this role means staying ahead of potential stockouts and keeping teams aligned around a predictable, data-backed supply plan.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Production & Purchasing Planning

  • Analyze demand forecasts to build accurate and timely monthly production schedules for 25+ suppliers to import 200+ Containers per month.
  • Determine and order the correct amount of product each month to avoid out-of-stock and overstock situations.
  • Place purchase orders on time and track all shipments to ensure they align with inventory needs.
  • Monitor production progress to ensure timelines are met, products are inspected, and shipments leave on schedule.
  • If production is delayed, take initiative to identify the issue and work with the right teams to get things back on track quickly.
  • Monitor National and Regional Inventory levels, identify stock risks and proactively initiate and execute supply plans to maintain efficiency by redirecting shipments and transferring stock.

Communication & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Lead clear, concise weekly production status update meetings with cross-functional partners.
  • Provide regular updates summarizing production status, potential risks, and resolutions.
  • Maintain a consistent monthly schedule to ensure purchasing and production timelines are met without last-minute surprises.
  • Maintain production capacity schedules to 25+ international suppliers.
  • Oversee, escalate and resolve production capacity challenges with international suppliers as needed.
  • Track and ensure supplier compliance to contract terms.

Forecasting & Data Analysis

  • Analyze historical sales and forecast data to recommend monthly purchasing volumes at both national and regional levels.
  • Review forecast vs. actual sales and adjust future purchasing recommendations accordingly.
  • Evaluate forecast vs. actual purchase behavior to improve future supply plans.
  • Lead a data scientist to develop dashboards and leverage analytics that support planning decisions.

Team Leadership

  • Manage and develop a small team of planners and/or analysts.
  • Set clear expectations and deadlines for production and purchasing processes.
  • Support the team in resolving planning or production issues in real time.
  • Escalation point of contact for all supplier purchase disruptions.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Business, or a related field.
  • 8+ years in supply planning, production planning, or related supply chain roles.
  • Experience leading supply chain or planning teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Engaging with international suppliers in different time zones.
  • Managing global team in different time zones.
  • Proficiency in Excel and ERP systems (SAP or similar).
  • Strong analytical skills; comfortable working with large data sets.
  • Clear communicator — both written and verbal — across teams and levels.
  • Proven ability to work under pressure, manage shifting priorities, and hit tight deadlines.
  • Preferred Certifications: APICS CPIM, CSCP, or similar supply chain certifications.
