About the Role

Bay Systems Consulting is seeking a highly motivated Senior Systems Engineer to join our team supporting SAIC and the U.S. Space Force’s Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) Enterprise in Colorado Springs. In this role, you will provide technical expertise and systems integration support for the GPS system-of-systems, ensuring resilience, modernization, and mission success across space, ground, and user segments.

At SAIC, we support the U.S. Space Force Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) Enterprise, which ensures resilient, global GPS capabilities that are vital for both military and civilian operations

This position requires an active Secret Clearance (Top Secret/SCI preferred) and offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge systems critical to both national security and global infrastructure.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide technical expertise and systems integration support to ensure optimal integrated GPS system design.
  • Contribute to integration processes across programmatic and organizational boundaries, including synchronization, tracking, and dependency analysis.
  • Develop and maintain engineering and data models to enable automated integration analyses.
  • Provide technical support for system testing activities that characterize system performance.
  • Perform and present data analysis that informs key government program decisions.
  • Support GPS Enterprise Risk & Opportunities management activities.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or related technical discipline.
  • 9+ years of systems engineering or systems integration experience.
  • Active Secret Clearance.
  • Experience coordinating across space, ground, and user segments to ensure mission performance requirements are met.
  • Demonstrated experience with system architecture development.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate across diverse teams and organizations.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with close attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in multi-team settings and willingness to take on additional technical and administrative responsibilities as needed.

Desired Qualifications

  • Active Top Secret/SCI Clearance.
  • Hands-on experience with space vehicles or GPS-related systems.
  • Familiarity with DoD acquisition organizations and processes.
