What You Will Do:
As our Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for the conceptualization, architecture, design and development of modern civil and military avionics systems, subsystems, and LRUs.
Primary Responsibilities:
Capture, develop and maintain system and subsystem requirements
Develop product architectures for systems, hardware, and software to meet performance and Safety requirements
Produce and maintain project artifacts related to planning, requirements, design, validation and verification
Help manage, write and review ARP4754, DO-254, and DO-178 Certification artifacts
Review designs artifacts (documents , schematics, code, drawings, etc.) against upper-level requirements
Maintain configuration management of the requirements in a controlled environment using DOORS
Lead the design activities in collaboration with the other functions (engineering, test, quality
Primary point of contact for technical discussions with both Customers and Suppliers
Participate in or conduct risk assessments and contingency plans
Effectively communicate technical concepts and innovative design ideas
Participate in hardware and software test planning and execution
Keep up to date knowledge of international airworthiness regulations and new product certification initiatives
Proactively identify and execute process improvements related to product design and development
Preferred Education
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Math or other aerospace engineering discipline
Preferred Experience
7-10 years of engineering experience
Proven experience in full life cycle design of systems for aerospace or any other highly regulated industry
Preferred Specialized Skills and Abilities
Understanding of avionics systems architecture with emphasis on aircraft installations and operations, human-systems interface design, aircraft digital data buses and protocols, analog and digital system interfaces and modern aircraft system architecture
Experienced in the development of avionics architecture, requirements, hardware or software design, and/or system verification
Working knowledge of industry airworthiness standards and regulations, including FARs and Regulatory Guidance, assurance standards and methods: DO-160, DO-254, DO-178 and/or ARP 4754
Certification experience to industry processes STC, TC, and TSO
Skilled in requirements management, and experience with DOORS
Model Based Design experience is a plus
Physical Requirements:
Frequent use of personal computers, database and digital platforms, and other office productivity machinery, such as copy machines and computer printers.
Frequently uses hands, fingers, and arms to reach, handle, touch or feel equipment, materials, and computer.

Salary Range:
Please note the typical hiring range is $123,250- $166,750 annually. Job offers within the range are based on significant job qualifications and pay equity.
