Testek Solutions is currently seeking a Senior Systems Engineer.

Reports To: Engineering Manager / Director of Engineering
The Senior Systems Engineer is responsible for the end‑to‑end systems engineering of complex Hydraulic, Fuel, and Pneumatic flight component test equipment used in the Aerospace industry
This role leads system architecture, requirements development, integration, verification, and validation activities across multidisciplinary teams. The ideal candidate brings deep technical expertise, strong leadership, and experience working in highly regulated, safety‑critical environments
Systems Engineering & Technical Leadership

Lead the definition, development, and management of system‑level architectures for aerospace component test equipment, including hardware, software, instrumentation, controls, and interfaces

Translate customer and regulatory requirements into clear, testable system, subsystem, and component requirements

Own requirements traceability throughout the full product lifecycle

Serve as the technical authority for assigned programs, providing guidance and mentoring to junior and mid level engineers
Design, Integration & Verification
-
Oversee system integration activities, ensuring proper interaction between mechanical, electrical, software, and test subsystems
-
Develop and execute verification and validation plans to confirm system performance, reliability, and compliance

Support system‑level troubleshooting, root‑cause analysis, and corrective actions during development and testing

Travel to customer sites when required to support the technical interchange meetings, installation, and commissioning for equipment
Aerospace Compliance & Quality
-
Ensure designs comply with applicable aerospace and industry standards (e.g., DO‑160, NEC, NFPA, AS9100, MIL‑STD, CE requirement (ATEX compliance a plus)

Ensure safety and reliability requirements are identified, analyzed, and met. Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, FMEAs, and technical audits

Support customer acceptance testing, qualification testing, and certification activities
Program & Customer Support

Partner with the VP Business Unit , Chief Engineer, and Project Managers to ensure proposals and plans meet business and technical objectives

Collaborate with program management to support schedules, cost estimates, and technical risk mitigation

Act as a technical interface with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders

Contribute to proposals, technical documentation, and system trade studies
-
Coordinate inputs / outputs from cost centers (manufacturing, test, and procurement) for complete build packages

Facilitate smooth handoff between proposal and execution teams

Support customer and internal design reviews as the technical liaison during the proposal phase
-
Document lessons learned and integrate feedback from completed projects

Proactively identify process gaps and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and consistency
-
Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field
-
8+ years of systems engineering experience in aerospace, defense, or complex industrial test systems
-
Strong experience with requirements management, system architecture, and lifecycle development

Proven experience integrating hardware and software systems

Familiarity with aerospace standards and regulated development environments

Ability to lead technical discussions and mentor engineers

Master’s degree in Engineering or related discipline
-
Experience with automated test systems, data acquisition, or control systems

Hands‑on experience with verification and validation testing
-
Knowledge of Model‑Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools
-
Experience working directly with aerospace customers and certification authorities

Experience with DOD contracts and deign process requirements

Hands on expertise troubleshooting complex circuits within systems

Working knowledge CAD tools (preferable AutoCad and SolidWorks)

Knowledge of CE marking requirements and ATEX directives for hazardous‑area or EU‑regulated equipment
