At Lantaris, we are building upon our 60+ year legacy of innovation, from designing the high gain antennas for NASA’s Voyager 1 and 2 which have raced beyond the heliosphere through interstellar space to establishing ourselves as the industry leader in geostationary satellites delivering services like broadband internet access, satellite radio, and direct-to-home satellite television. We designed the next generation of earth imaging satellites, built the Psyche spacecraft to study asteroids, and are partnering with NASA on our PPE program and supporting the SDA in creating national security assets.

The preferred location for this role is our Palo Alto office in California. • Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline, computer science, math, physics or STEM field. Four additional years of experience may be substituted for a degree.

  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in systems engineering or real-time control of complex of systems

  • General understanding of spacecraft design and product life cycle

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in GNC technologies, specifically astrodynamics, orbital mechanics, spacecraft dynamics and control, aerospace sensors, or Chemical/Electric Propulsion systems

  • Previous experience working on United States Government programs

  • Experience with any requirements management systems (i.e. DOORS, JAMA, etc.)

  • Experience coding in C, C++, Python, or Matlab & creating software tools for verification activities a plus

  • Familiarity with software architecture, verification, and validation
