We’re looking for a bright and motivated Senior Technical Manager to join our Environmental Due Diligence and Remediation team in Hamilton, New Jersey.

As the ideal candidate, you are excited to join our team as an experienced subject matter expert who provides technical leadership, review, and authority over quality control to projects within the assigned Business Unit, Region, area of Practice, as required. The Senior Technical Manager may be the principal contact for specific clients and projects of more significant technical complexity requiring high risk management and oversight. They may also be responsible for the quality of general deliverables by the Business Unit. The Technical Manager serves as a Senior Project Manager for assigned projects. The Technical Manager must be a New Jersey Site Remediation Professional (LSRP). In this role you will learn about business, build your own professional network and work closely with senior professionals in the industry. The Senior Technical Manager position is ideal for someone looking to build their skills for career advancement and professional growth. The ideal candidate will be familiar with relevant New Jersey regulations and have at least 17 years of experience in the environmental consulting industry.

A Day in the life of the Senior Technical Manager

  • Provide technical leadership to all operational employees within the assigned Business Unit or Region, including support, guidance, and mentorship.
  • Ensure technical oversight and quality control of services and deliverables within the assigned Business Unit or Region.
  • Hold authority over technical decisions made within the assigned Business Unit or Region.
  • Partner with operational management to ensure employees are effectively trained in Pinchin programs and procedures, monitor job proficiency, and ensure safety protocols are followed.
  • Participate in practice line initiatives, including training, template and SOP recommendations, and reference library maintenance.
  • Perform senior consulting, senior project management, and client management duties where appropriate.
  • Provide technical input and opinions during the RFP process.
  • Carry out Peer Reviewer and Senior Reviewer duties when applicable.
  • Support business development initiatives and provide office administrative support.
  • Lead by example, in alignment with Pinchin’s Core Values and desired culture.
  • All other duties as assigned.

What you bring to the Pinchin team

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in an environmentally oriented field
  • 17+ years of professional experience in an environmental consulting or engineering company
  • New Jersey Licensed Site Remediation Professional (LSRP) required
  • Professional Engineer license preferred, but not required
  • Project management and budgeting experience
  • Demonstrated success in client acquisition and retention
  • Ability to effectively plan and execute projects, prioritizing work, and communicating scope changes in a timely manner
  • Excellent writing, editing, technical and organizational skills along with the ability to solve problems.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and attention to detail skills.
  • Ability to work independently and also thrive in a team environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Suite including Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook.
  • Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, adequate insurance, and availability to travel for work when required. Mileage is paid when personal vehicle is used.
  • Availability to work outside core business hours. Overtime is a requirement of the position.
  • Ability to stand and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close and distance vision, and the ability to pass a company physical.
