Senior Technical Program Manager

OVERVIEW

We are seeking an experienced Senior Technical Program Manager with a strong background in cloud and SaaS environments to support the delivery of large-scale cross-functional business and technology initiatives within the BT People, Legal, and Finance Technology organization. The successful candidate will work closely with infrastructure, security, business applications, and data teams to drive strategic programs that support enterprise technology transformation and operational excellence.

This role is ideal for a strategic, technically fluent leader who thrives in fast-paced, complex SaaS ecosystems and is comfortable navigating ambiguity, influencing without authority, and driving measurable outcomes across multiple stakeholders.

Location: Bay Area, CA (Hybrid – 2–3 days onsite near SF Office)

Contract Length: 5+ Months

Pay: $75-85 on W2

Must be eligible to work on W2 without needing sponsorship. No C2C eligibility
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Manage large, complex cross-functional programs across BT infrastructure, security, business applications, and data landscapes, serving multiple stakeholders.
  • Drive strategic initiatives in a cloud/SaaS environment, ensuring alignment with business objectives and enterprise technology standards.
  • Build and track key deliverables, artifacts, and program roadmaps; proactively identify risks and develop mitigation plans to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Facilitate decision-making at all levels of the organization, including leading Steering Committee (SteerCo) meetings, executive updates, and technical design discussions.
  • Remove ambiguity and manage interdependencies across multiple teams, exercising independent judgment to deliver results.
  • Champion process improvements and evolve delivery practices within Agile and SaaS environments.
  • Leverage a data-informed approach to planning and execution, defining KPIs and metrics to track performance and drive accountability.
  • Collaborate across business units, partners, and technical teams to ensure seamless coordination and alignment.
  • Adapt delivery methodologies (Agile, Scrum, hybrid) based on team needs and program scale.
  • Promote a culture of collaboration, empowerment, and continuous improvement within cross-functional teams.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • 7–8+ years of progressive project or program management experience, with significant exposure to cloud and SaaS environments.
  • Strong understanding of BT infrastructure, security, enterprise business applications, and data ecosystems.
  • Proven experience leading complex, cross-functional initiatives requiring active stakeholder engagement and executive-level communication.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate with high autonomy, manage ambiguity, and navigate organizational complexity without direct authority.
  • Hands-on familiarity with Agile, Scrum, and hybrid delivery methodologies.
  • Experience leveraging KPIs and performance metrics to measure program success and drive continuous improvement.
  • Proficiency with project management and collaboration tools such as Jira, Google Workspace, Smartsheet, Tempus, Asana, Slack, Zoom, Lucid, and Confluence.
  • Exposure to enterprise SaaS applications such as NetSuite, Coupa, Workday, Anaplan, Boomi, Conga, Kyriba, or similar platforms (functional awareness required; deep technical expertise not mandatory).
  • Strong executive presentation skills, including experience leading Steering Committee discussions.
  • Exceptional communication, influencing, and consensus-building abilities.
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environments and adapt quickly to shifting priorities.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related field (or equivalent work experience) with a minimum of 4 years of technical hands-on experience.
  • PMP certification and/or Scrum certifications (CSM, A-CSM, etc.).
  • Experience building and fostering cultural or organizational programs that enhance collaboration and engagement.
  • Demonstrated history of creative problem-solving and innovative program delivery approaches.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related discipline, or equivalent technical work experience.
