Key Skills and Expertise

• Database Proficiency: Strong expertise in relational database management systems (RDBMS) like MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle, and potentially NoSQL databases. This includes writing complex SQL queries for data validation, integrity checks, and performance testing (e.g., joins, subqueries, aggregate functions).
• Backend Testing: Extensive experience in testing backend components, including APIs, server-side logic, and integrations with external services. Proficiency with API testing tools such as Postman, REST Assured, or SoapUI is essential.
• Test Automation and Frameworks: Ability to develop, maintain, and enhance test automation frameworks using programming languages like Python, Java, or C#. This includes automating database test cases and integrating them into Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
• Performance Testing: Proven experience with performance, load, and stress testing of database and backend systems to identify bottlenecks and capacity limits using tools like JMeter or LoadRunner.
• Deep Technical Understanding: Strong knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies, server architecture, data structures, and object-oriented programming principles.
• Problem-Solving and Analytics: Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills to perform root cause analysis of complex issues and implement preventative measures.
• Leadership and Communication: Ability to provide technical leadership, mentor junior team members, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and DevOps.

Pay: $90,391.84 - $108,858.98 per year
