Senior Technical Sales & Support Engineer (Industrial Automation)

The company is currently evolving into an Autonomous Industrial Brokerage Platform, leveraging a sophisticated network of AI agents to streamline sourcing, logistics, and procurement for high-demand components like sensors, PLCs, and drive systems.

  • Digital Marketplace: Managing a massive, technically accurate catalog of over 500,000 industrial items from global leaders such as Siemens, Schneider Electric, SICK, and Kempston Controls.
  • Engineering Community: Empowering local professionals through the Al Sakr Affiliate Program, which incentivizes Egyptian engineers to integrate premium automation brands into their local projects.
  • Technical Excellence: Providing expert-level UI/UX and technical support, ensuring that complex industrial data is accessible and actionable for procurement managers and site engineers alike.
  • Innovative Sourcing: Utilizing on-premise AI and RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) workflows to provide localized, private, and rapid responses to industrial inquiries and supply chain challenges.

Job Purpose

As a Senior Technical Sales & Support Engineer, you will bridge the gap between complex industrial automation solutions and customer needs. You will be responsible for driving revenue growth through technical expertise, managing high-level client relationships, and providing top-tier support for our portfolio of industrial brands.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Technical Sales & Business Development

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities within the 10th of Ramadan industrial zone and beyond, targeting factories and engineering firms.
  • Conduct technical presentations and live demonstrations of automation products (PLCs, HMIs, Sensors, VFDs, etc.) to prospective clients.
  • Analyze customer requirements to provide accurate technical offers, selecting the most cost-effective and efficient components for their specific applications.
  • Negotiate and close sales deals, ensuring alignment with company profit margins and growth targets.

Technical Support & Consulting

  • Provide expert pre-sales consultancy, assisting customers in the design phase of their automation projects.
  • Deliver post-sales technical assistance, including troubleshooting hardware/software issues and guiding clients through installation or configuration.
  • Develop technical documentation, manuals, and localized "How-to" guides for the Al Sakr Online platform to add value for digital customers.
  • Liaise with international brand suppliers to stay updated on the latest firmware, product launches, and technical patches.

Strategic & Senior Responsibilities

  • Manage the full sales cycle for key accounts, ensuring long-term partnership retention and satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with the e-commerce team to ensure technical specifications on www.alsakronline.com are accurate and optimized for professional buyers.
  • Mentor junior engineers and sales staff on technical best practices and effective communication strategies.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor pricing within the Egyptian industrial sector to provide feedback for procurement and marketing strategies.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Mechatronics, or Electronics Engineering.
  • Experience: 3+ years of proven experience in Sales and Technical Support specifically within the Industrial Automation sector.
  • Skills: Deep knowledge of major automation brands, excellent negotiation skills, and proficiency in English (technical and conversational).
  • Location: Ability to commute to or reside near 10th of Ramadan City.

Pay: E£12,000.00 - E£16,000.00 per month
